The cities of Montreal and Toronto will sign a new partnership agreement Saturday.
In a press release, the mayor’s office said the agreement covers information sharing and cooperation in governance, economic vitality, environment, social development and baseball.
Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre and Toronto Mayor John Tory made the announcement at a press conference at Montreal city hall, saying that they find two two cities are increasingly “living on the same planet.”
Tory added his signature to the Montreal Declaration of Living Together, the document that came out of the summit by the same which took place in the city last year.
The two mayors will also attend a Major League Baseball exhibition game at the Olympic Stadium, where the Toronto Blue Jays play the Boston Red Sox.
