A 36-year-old man and 2-year-old boy were rushed to hospital Wednesday after being found unconscious in the pool of a Montreal hotel.
The man later died in hospital, while the child was listed in critical condition.
Police said other guests discovered the two in the unsupervised pool at the Residence Inn Montreal Westmount on Lincoln Ave. around 6 p.m. Attempts at reanimation were initiated on-site before the arrival of police and an ambulance crew summoned by a 911 call.
It’s not clear what happened, but both were wearing bathing suits, a police spokesman said. The investigation is continuing.
