Police are on the lookout for a potential suspect in a shooting that took place on St-Laurent Blvd. Monday morning.
Authorities say the victim, who was first transported to hospital in critical condition, is known to police.
The man in question is now in stable condition and the police’s street gang unit is expected to investigate the case.
Police spokesman André Leclerc said the 30-year-old man suffered a gunshot to the upper body as he stood on the boulevard near Roy St E. around 3:25 a.m.
They believe a potential suspect may have fled eastward on Roy St. following the attempted killing.
St-Laurent Blvd. was closed between Ave. des Pins and St-Cuthbert St. while police scoured the perimeter.
