The latest series of repairs to the Turcot interchange begins Friday and will only end in 2019, closing at least one of three lanes on the southbound Highway 15 for the next three years.

This weekend, one of two lanes on northbound Highway 15 will be shut down between the Iles-des-Soeurs bridge and the Atwater Ave. exit. Access to the southbound Highway 15 will be completely sealed off from the Turcot interchange as construction work will completely shut down the southbound Champlain Bridge this weekend.

The transport ministry recommends drivers headed to the South Shore avoid this stretch of road and use either the Victoria, Mercier or Jacques Cartier bridges to get off the island.

The following week, beginning on May 2, one of three southbound lanes on Highway 15 will be closed between the de la Vérandrye exit and the Atwater Ave. exit. At least one of those three lanes will be closed until work is completed in 2019.
