Heritage Montreal is offering three new architectural walking tours from May 19 to June 7.
The walks will explore three lesser-known downtown neighbourhoods that played a key role in the evolution of the city: the 19th-century residential architecture of the McGill ghetto; the modernist architecture of de Maisonneuve Blvd. and the contemporary architecture of McGill University’s campus.
The guided tours last 90 minutes each, are in French and English on Tuesdays and Thursdays and start at 5:30 p.m. at the Roddick Gates — the main entrance to the McGill University campus.
Call 514 286-2662, Ext. 21, for more information on dates and rates, which range from $10 to $15. Space is limited. Or visit heritagemontreal.org/en/ and click on the Activities link, then programming, then on the At the Heart of the City link.
