Two people were seriously on Saturday afternoon after a collision between a motorcycle and a truck on Highway 216 in St-Nazaire-de-Dorchester in the Beauce.
The accident occurred at around 12 p.m. when a truck travelling eastbound didn’t make a curve and came upon five motorcycles travelling in the opposite direction.
The truck hit one of the motorcycles, seriously injuring a man and a woman. They are fighting for their lives in hospital.
Another motorcyclist was injured when he tried to avoid the incident. He suffered only minor injuries.
The driver of the truck was also slightly injured and it is not yet known whether alcohol or speed were involved.
Route 216 was closed to traffic Saturday afternoon to allow police to conduct their investigation.
