Dairy company Saputo is recalling Neilson chocolate milk due to a possible Listeria contamination.
Several cases of sickness could be linked to the product. Further analysis is underway to confirm the possible link.
The recall by the Montreal-based company concerns four-litre chocolate milk jugs with the expiry date of June 1. The product was distributed in Quebec and Ontario.
Food contaminated with Listeria does not necessarily have a distinct odour or appearance, but can still cause illness. Possible symptoms include vomiting, nausea, fever, muscle pain, severe headache and stiffness of the neck. In serious cases it can cause death.
