Environment Canada has issued a thunderstorm warning for Montreal, St-Jérôme, the Eastern Townships and Richelieu and everything in between.
The Dorval Weather office is predicting showers or thunderstorms for most of the afternoon, with winds of 20 to 25 kilometres an hour, gusting to 40 kilometres.
Temperatures will drop from Saturday’s high of 27 to 16 overnight, under clear skies.
Sunday will be mainly sunny, with a high of 26 and humidex of 29.
What you should look out for, according to Environment Canada:
- Storms can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads
- Large hail can damage property and cause injury
- Strong wind gusts can blow away untethered objects, damage buildings, pull branches off trees and turn over vehicles
- Severe thunderstorms can even produce tornadoes
