Jurors at the trial of Richard Henry Bain will return for a fifth day of deliberations at the Montreal courthouse on Wednesday.
Bain is charged with first-degree murder and three counts of attempted murder.
The charges relate to a shooting outside a nightclub where then-Parti Québécois leader Pauline Marois was addressing party faithful after her election win on Sept. 4, 2012.
Bain has pleaded not guilty and has argued he should be found not criminally responsible because of mental illness.
The Crown has said Bain was not ill and that his assault on the nightclub was premeditated, triggered by his anger over the PQ election victory.
The seven women and five men began deliberating Saturday.
