An altercation between several individuals led to a knife attack in the Montreal North borough, police say.
A man was stabbed and sustained upper body wounds in the armed assault which occurred around 8 p.m. behind a store on Fleury St. near St-Michel Blvd.
The 18-year-old victim presented himself to the hospital, where police officers met with him.
“He’s not collaborating with police officers and he’s known to our services,” Montreal police spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant said.
Police said the man’s life isn’t at risk. Investigators spoke to witnesses at the crime scene and the K-9 unit is searching the area.
