A cellphone was ripped from a woman’s hands while she waited for her bus in the wee hours last Wednesday. Montreal police constable Chantal Castonguay, from Station 4, said the 34-year-old victim from Pointe-Claire was busy texting on her cellphone while waiting for her bus near the corner of Blvd.de Salaberry and Blvd. St. Jean at around 2:15 a.m. The victim noticed a man standing at a distance as if he were waiting for the bus. He rushed at her, snatched the cellphone from her hands and ran off. The suspect is described as thin, black, with short hair and standing around 5 ft 8 inches tall. He was wearing an orange shirt with a green tee-shirt.
