Montreal police are investigating after the body of a 35-year-old man was pulled from the St-Lawrence River on Saturday afternoon.
Montreal police spokesperson Constable Caroline Chèvrefils said a patrol boat was used to recover the body after someone called 911 shortly after 2 p.m. The person who called reported seeing the body in the river near St-Helen’s Island.
“The investigators are on the scene to try to understand and analyze the situation. The investigation is ongoing at this time,” Chèvrefils said late Saturday evening.
