For the 14th consecutive year, the Union des producteurs agricoles will hold open houses on Quebec farms Sunday.

More than 100,000 visitors are expected on 100 participating farms in all regions of Quebec. The open house runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event includes organized family activities and free access to agricultural facilities.

Visitors can meet the farmers, and learn through demonstrations and agricultural tastings. There will be entertainment and games for younger participants. Tents have been erected on most sites in case of rain.

Montreal gets in on the action this year, with a large festival at Olympic Park. The programming includes information booths, animal guests, a corn roast, and lots of farm machinery.

Since the annual open house event began, more than 1.8 million visitors have participated Quebec-wide.
