Who loves their pets more than Quebecers? No one!
Except all those pet-owners on the Prairies.
And in Ontario and B.C.
But at least we’re ahead of Toronto, which sits at 20. The only two Quebec regions to make Amazon.ca’s annual pampered-pets list are Gatineau (at No. 6), and Laval (Lucky No. 13).
The top-20 list, which compiles per-capita information on Canadian pet-related purchases, found that the good citizens of Regina are leaders of the pack when it comes to buying toys, biscuits, and grooming products for their dogs, cats, other small animals, and fish (though the grooming products probably weren’t for the fish).
And while Gatineau was No. 6 overall, up one spot from last year, it’s No. 1 when it comes to birds, purchasing all sorts of toys and swings for their feathered friends.
The biggest players were Regina, Richmond, and Saskatoon, which bought the most pet toys between August 2015 and August 2016. Those three also cleaned up in the grooming department, because you want to look good out in the field.
