Reputed mafioso Vincenzo Spagnolo was slain in the Vimont district of Laval late Saturday afternoon, according to media reports.
He was taken to a hospital where his death was confirmed.
Spagnolo was linked to the former godfather of the Montreal Mafia Vito Rizzuto.
The Sûreté du Québec is investigating.
