An early morning fight sent one man to a Montreal hospital with knife wounds to his upper body, but police do not fear for his life.
A 24-year-old man was stabbed after bars closed at about 3:30 a.m. at a gas station dépanneur on the corner of Sherbrooke St. and St-Laurent Blvd.
A police team, including the dog squad, was dispatched to the area.
A 22-year-old man was arrested and is expected to face a charge of armed assault. Another 23-year-old man was arrested and he will likely face charges of assaulting a police officer and obstruction of justice.
The fight started inside the dépanneur and the owner threw them out, said Montreal Constable Benoît Boiselle. About five or six people were involved in the confrontation, he added, and the stabbing happened outside on the street.
