An undetermined amount of wine, beer and other alcoholic beverages were stolen from a Beaconsfield supermarket on Labor Day, one of the only handful of days grocery stores are closed during the year.
The incident took place at the Metro store on St. Charles Blvd., just south of Highway 20 on September 2 at about 7:45 p.m.
Montreal police community relations officer Jean-Pierre Lévis said a suspect broke in by breaking the glass panels of the store’s front door. He may have been aided by an accomplice.
Images captured on the store’s video surveillance system are being studied by investigators with the SPVM’s western operational centre, Lévis said.
Anyone who may have seen suspicious activity related to this crime are asked to call officers at Station 1 at 514-280-0101.
