Approximately 70 police officers launched a major operation Tuesday morning on the South Shore of Montreal in hopes of dismantling what is believed to be a criminal organization suspected of drug trafficking.
The suspects targeted are believed to be part of the Devils Ghosts, a gang allegedly affiliated with the Hells Angels.
Police officers are carrying out searches and arrest warrants across the South Shore, specifically in Longueuil, Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville and Sainte-Julie. The alleged head of the criminal network is believed to live in Saint-Amable, some 40 kilometres from Montreal.
