The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train’s stopped in Beaconsfield on Tuesday,Nov. 26, kick-starting the annual season of giving and bringing smiles to the faces of West Islanders, young and old.
By 6:30 p.m. hundreds had gathered at the Beaconsfield commuter train station on Elm Ave. to await the train’s arrival. It didn’t disappoint. The brightly decorated freight train rolled in at 7:15 p.m. And set off a round of cheers throughout the crowd.
Ed Greenberg, a CP spokesperson, said the turnout was the best in recent years.
Volunteers collected money and non perishable food items for Moison Montreal, the city’s largest food bank.
