A 31-year-old man is in hospital after being stabbed in the upper body early Monday morning at the Le Windsor Ballrooms event space in downtown Montreal.
Police say an altercation broke out among a large group of people inside the building on Peel St. south of Ste-Catherine St. W. at around 4 a.m. One man was stabbed with a sharp object, Montreal police spokesperson Manuel Couture said. His condition is not known.
Police arrested several people in connection with the incident, but are still investigating to determine how the individuals were involved.
