An employee at a bar in Pierrefonds-Roxboro was forced at gunpoint to empty the cash register and the bar’s safe, just after midnight, Jan. 30.
The employee, a 32-year-old woman from Laval, was finishing her shift at a bar in a strip mall on Gouin Blvd. W. near Alexander St. when she went outside for a moment. When she came back inside, a masked man followed and pointed a gun at her.
Montreal Police Constable Daniel Maheu from Station 3 said the man ordered two customers who were finishing their drinks to lie face down on the floor. He pinned one of the customers down with his foot while ordering the employee to empty the cash.
He then took the employee, by force and at gunpoint, to the safe and ordered her to open it and give him the money. The employee called 911 after he left.
The lens of the bar’s security camera had been sprayed with black paint.
The man is described as English-speaking, of medium build and around 5 ft 10 inches tall. He was wearing black gloves and a black tuque, sunglasses and a dark bandana to conceal his face.
