Mary-Lynee Loftus was crowned queen of this year’s St. Patrick’s Day parade.
Loftus, an 18-year-old CEGEP student, was chosen Saturday at a Queen Selection event hosted by the United Irish Societies of Montreal.
Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre will be the parade’s grand marshal this year. Coderre was presented with his sash on Saturday.
The 194th annual St. Patrick’s parade takes place on Sunday, March 19. The fun starts at noon and runs along Ste-Catherine St., between Fort St. and Phillips Square.
