Firefighters in Dollard-des-Ormeaux have extinguished a two-alarm fire in a two-storey residential duplex on Whiteoak St. at the corner of Maisonneuve St.
No one was injured, but the residence was severely damaged during the blaze, which started just after noon and spread to the second storey and roof, a Montreal fire department spokesperson said. It took firefighters about an hour to extinguish the flames.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
