A 22-year-old woman waiting at a bus stop in Montreal East suffered serious injuries Tuesday afternoon whenshe was struck by a car trying to avoid colliding into another vehicle.
According to police and witnesses at the scene, a car travelling on Notre Dame St. near Hinton Ave. came to sudden stop, forcing the two vehicles following it to swerve to avoid a collision. One of the vehicles struck the woman, who suffered injuries to her lower body.
There were no other injuries reported.
