A 75-year-old man died and a woman in her 60s was seriously injured when a fire broke out in a Victor St. home in Mirabel late Sunday night.
Police received a call about 11 p.m., and said the flames broke out in the house’s basement. When they arrived, emergency workers found the man dead in the house, and they transported the woman to a hospital.
The fire was put out quickly, and police say they are still investigating its cause, saying arson has not been ruled out.
