Police are looking for two suspects in connection with the shooting of a 23-year-old man during a bar fight early Friday morning in Pierrefonds.
The first suspect is about five feet seven inches tall and weighs about 165 pounds, police said. He is black and was wearing a black hoodie.
The second suspect is about five feet nine inches tall and weighs about 165 pounds, police said. He is described as having a dark complexion and dark-coloured eyes and hair. He was wearing a khaki-coloured hoodie and red sports pants.
Both suspects spoke English during the incident, police said.
The victim was transported to hospital and is in stable condition, Montreal police said.
The fight started just before 2 a.m. for an unknown reason at an establishment on the corner of Pierrefonds and Sources Blvds.
According to a police report describing the incident, a bouncer intervened after a group of about six people began arguing at the bar.
The two suspects went into the washroom, and were then followed by two people. The fight escalated and one suspect threatened to shoot the other men.
Moments later, one of the suspects fired two shots from a revolver, one of which hit the victim in the stomach.
Both suspects ran off after the shooting.
Police are looking for witnesses to help them make an arrest.
