An overnight fire caused the evacuation of two apartment buildings in the off-island suburb of Repentigny. One hundred and fifty people were evacuated and some 60 firefighters were called to the scene to extinguish the blaze that began around 1:30 a.m. No one was injured.
A pedestrian is in critical condition after being struck by a car while attempting to cross Sherbrooke St. Friday night in downtown Montreal. As of Saturday morning the woman was in still in critical condition, said Montreal police spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant. The Montreal police force’s collision squad is investigating to determine the cause and circumstances of the collision.
President Donald Trump took to Twitter this morning to accuse former President Barack Obama of spying on the Trump campaign. Trump did not provide any evidence to back up his claim.
“How low has President Obama gone to tapp my phones during the very sacred election process,” the president tweeted.
