A watchful neighbour called the police after he saw a man break into a home in Pierrefonds and leave carrying what looked like bags filled with loot, last Thursday.
Montreal Police constable Daniel Maheu from Station 3 said the 74-year-old man witnessed the suspect approach a home on Graham St. at around 6:30 p.m. and ring the bell. When no one answered, the suspect went to the back of the house and broke the back-door window.
Once inside, he turned on all the lights. The neighbour saw the suspect leave the house through the front door and called 911.
The suspect stands around 6 ft tall and was wearing a black tuque with white stripes and a big, black winter jacket.
Maheu said this is the second break-in on the street in recent days.
