Members of the provincial anti-corruption squad were in Pierrefonds Wednesday morning at the home of Robert Abdallah, the former Montreal city manager.
“I can confirm that there are investigations and some raids were done early Wednesday,” said Anne-Frédérique Laurence with UPAC, the Unité permanente anticorruption Québec.
Abdallah has long denied allegations made at the Charbonneau Commission that he accepted kickbacks while in the city manager’s job from 2003 to 2006.
Those allegations were made by former construction boss Lino Zambito about a sewer contract in Pointe-aux-Trembles in 2005, where Zambito alleges $300,000 was given to Abdallah.
