A young man borrowed his mother’s car to drive to Collège Gerald-Godin on Gouin Blvd. in Ste-Geneviève for his first day of classes on Aug. 27. But the day did not end well. The car was stolen from the CEGEP’s parking lot.
Montreal Police constable Daniel Maheu said the student parked the grey 2004 Toyota Echo in the southwest parking lot at 7:50 a.m. When he returned to the parking lot at 10:15 a.m., the car was gone.
The 10-year-old car had 126,000 km on its odometer.
Police combed the area for clues, but came up empty.
