Police have taken over the investigation of a fire in Dollard-des-Ormeaux early Wednesday at a tire store.
The fire was started by a Molotov cocktail.
At 5:31 a.m. someone broke the window of the business on St-John’s Blvd. near Devon Drive and threw the fire bomb inside the offices. The fire quickly spread to the rest of the building, said fire chief Stefan Corriveau.
The fire was under control by 6:30 a.m. and because of the criminal nature of the incident the case has been handed over to the arson squad.
Corriveau said surveillance video may shed some light on the perpetrators of this crime. St-John’s Blvd. is closed northbound at the scene.
