A Pierrefonds resident forgot to lock his car doors and paid the price over the weekend.
The victim, who lives on Pierre-Lauzon St., parked his white Pontiac G6 in his driveway at around 2 a.m., Sept. 13, leaving his wallet holding all his identification cards and credit cards tucked in a cubby under the car’s radio.
But the man forgot to lock the doors of his vehicle, said Montreal Police constable Daniel Maheu from Station 3. When he returned to his car at 9 a.m. the same morning, he saw that the contents of his glove compartment were tossed on the front seats and his wallet was gone. The car’s stereo system was not touched.
