The RCMP Musicial Ride will be performing in Pierrefonds-Roxboro on Sept. 27 and Sept. 28.
The famed horse show has been performed four shows so far this week in Pierrefonds for students from a list of schools. But three shows this weekend are open to the public.
This is the sixth time the RCMP horse show has visited the borough.
All performances are being held at a temporary 10,000-seat stadium set up next to the Borough Hall at 13,665 Pierrefonds Blvd.
Admission is free for the weekend shows, Saturday, Sept. 27, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 28, at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
However, organizers will be collecting donations for the Quebec Society for Disabled Children. Their hope is to collect $20,000 for the charitable organization.
Last month, the borough council approved $46,000 in funding for the show, often called “Canada on Parade” and which rarely fails to impress spectators.
The RCMP Musical Ride, first performed in 1887, and currently visits about 40 venues annually, including a stop earlier this year in Lac-Mégantic.
