If you find yourself registered on the voters list for the Commission Scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys for the Nov. 2 school board elections and want to make a switch, you have until Tuesday, Oct. 14.
Eligible voters can find themselves on the French board’s list for a variety of reasons.
First-time voters are registered on the voters list of the French board by default, for example. Parents of children who have graduated from Secondary 5 in the English school system may also find themselves registered on the French board’s list.
Those wanting to be registered on the voters list for the Lester B. Pearson School Board must present themselves at one of six revision offices covering the territory served by English school board.
The locations are: Pierrefonds Comprehensive High School, 13800 Pierrefonds Blvd., Pierrefonds; Macdonald High School, 17 Maple St., Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue; LaSalle Community Comprehensive High School, 24- 9 Ave., LaSalle; Riverview Elementary, 971 Riverview Ave., Verdun; Forest Hill Junior Elementary School, 1950 Chanterel St., St-Lazare; the Elections Office, 5000 René Huguet St., Lachine.
The offices are open until Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.
In addition, the Elections Office in Lachine will also be open Saturday, Oct. 11, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and on Tuesday, Oct. 14, from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m.
Two pieces of identification are required. One piece linking your name to your address and, a second piece linking your name to your birth date.
