What: The 193rd annual St. Patrick’s parade, a civic celebration of Montreal’s rich Irish heritage.
Where: Along Ste-Catherine St. between Fort St and Phillips Square.
When: The parade begins at noon Sunday and lasts between two and three hours.
Who: The parade is organized by the United Irish Societies of Montreal, headed by Danny Doyle.

Interesting fact: The parade was run by the Ancient Order of Hibernians from 1893-28, before passing the torch to the United Irish Societies. The AOH still marches in the parade.
How to dress: In green! With a forecast high of 1 C and sunny skies, dress appropriately for cold weather (i.e. hats and gloves).
Common parade greeting: Erin go Bragh, or “Ireland forever” in Gaelic.
