Commuters driving to the South Shore won’t be able to use the Champlain Bridge this weekend as it will be closed starting Friday night.
A construction blitz will seal off the southbound Champlain beginning at 10 p.m. Friday night and continuing until Monday at 5 a.m. Meanwhile, Highway 15 south will also be closed from the Turcot interchange until the Highway 132 exit.
There will, however, be access to Nuns’ Island via the Bonaventure Highway but commuters are otherwise advised to seek alternate routes when travelling to the South Shore.
