The Beat 92.5 is adding one of the city’s more recognizable radio voices to its on-air team. The station announced on Thursday that Rob Kemp, who has more than two decades of experience in radio, will join the station at the end of May.
“I’m so excited to be back on the air. It’s my favourite city and (to) be part of an incredibly talented team,” Kemp said in a statement.
He will be heard on Saturday and Sunday mornings on The Beat’s Weekend Breakfast throughout the summer.
“The Beat 92.5 has one of the city’s strongest lineups of on-air hosts,” said André St-Amand, vice-president of programming. “Rob, with his experience and knowledge of the community, will fit right in.”
Kemp was last on air at CHOM, but was let go in November amid a round of budget cuts at Bell Media.
