Two teens were arrested for allegedly plotting to kill three of their peers Wednesday in St-Hyacinthe.
They were charged Thursday with three counts of conspiracy to commit murder and assault.
“Arrests were made at the school and an investigation will determine if the teens were ready to put their plan into action,” Sûreté du Québec spokesperson Audrey-Anne Bilodeau said.
Bilodeau highlighted that the vigilance of parents and the school permitted police to act in time.
The SQ said all threats are taken seriously, including those made on social media.
The two teens are male, age 14 and 16. They are expected to remain in custody until later this week.
