The dismantling of the last section of the St-Jacques St. overpass is expected to cause more traffic and major highway closures throughout the Thanksgiving weekend.
The ramp connecting Highway 15 southbound to Highway 720 eastbound will be completely closed from 10 p.m. Friday until early Tuesday morning.
Highway 15 northbound will be closed between the Turcot Interchange and the Sherbrooke St. entrance during the entire weekend as well.
Parts of the Décarie Expressway should also be avoided, Transport Quebec warned on Monday. Numerous detours will be in place, and police will direct drivers from Highway 20 to Highway 13.
In a statement, Transport Quebec said the work needs to be done this weekend in order to finish dismantling the overpass.
