The borough of Rosemont—La-Petite Patrie on Wednesday informed eight local massage parlours that their business permits will be revoked as part of a crackdown on businesses that “exploit eroticism.”
The crackdown follows an inspection last year by the borough of 46 local businesses to ensure they were providing the services allowed under their business permits.
According to borough officials, the investigation found that eight businesses “that had been given permits to practice massage therapy” were instead offering services that fell outside the guidelines of the permit.
Noting that the issue could wind up before the courts, the borough did not provide details on how the eight businesses were violating their permits.
