Three men were arrested on Saturday afternoon in Montreal after an explosion linked to the manufacture of narcotics alerted authorities.
The blast was reported around 12:50 p.m. in an apartment on St-Laurent Blvd., near Villeray St., according Montreal police spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant.
When firefighters arrived, two men were found outside the apartment suffering from burns on the face.
Shortly afterward, a third individual was found at the scene, also suffering from face burns.
The three men were taken to hospital, but their injuries did not endanger their lives.
Brabant said the explosion had been during the making of narcotic drugs and had occurred inside the apartment.
The three men arrested are age 47, 51 and 59. They will be interviewed by the investigators later. They could face charges in the production of narcotics.
