Three West Island men were arrested following a break-in on Julie St. in Pierrefonds on June 4.
Police received a call that the alarm had been triggered at a building that was once a convent, but is no longer in use. Montreal Police constable Daniel Maheu from Station 3 said police arrived to search the perimeter of the building and saw three men near the building’s main entrance. The men ran down a hall, using flashlights to guide their way.
The first officers on the scene called for backup and at 2:30 a.m. Police surrounded the building and the three were located near one of the building’s exits.
Two 22-year-old men from Pierrefonds and one 20-year-old man from Roxboro were detained and will be charged with break-and-entry and mischief. The three gained entry to the building through a window.
