Artists sitting at 25 upright pianos in outdoor locations all over Montreal play the same song at the same time on Wednesday, Aug. 20, at noon — and the piano on the terrace outside the Pierrefonds Cultural Centre on Gouin Blvd., will be part of the action.
Contemporary-pop artist Mélanie Guay sits down on the Pierrefonds piano at 13850 Gouin Blvd. W. at high noon to play the Louis-Jean Cormier composition Tout le monde en même temps.
The Public Pianos program began three years ago by the City of Montreal and grows every year. Three brightly-decorated pianos were installed in Pierrefonds-Roxboro borough for the first time this summer.
This is the first time a simultaneous performance has been organized.
Bring a chair and lunch. Admission is free.
